Veteran Jazz Drummer & Bandleader on the 2021 CD The Pugilist Bernie Dresel

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Veteran Jazz Drummer & Bandleader on the 2021 CD The Pugilist Bernie Dresel .. Our first interview was with Bernie back in 2017 when the world was a much different place .. We talked to him about this strange new COVID world and his new 2021 CD "The Pugilist" .. This CD was done on the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic spanning several months during 2021. This album was recorded without the band ever playing together at the same time. Instead, each of the 17 musicians recorded their particular parts, including improvised solos, separately in their own home studio setting. The construction of this album and the survival of jazz has been remarkable .. and we discuss that and more .. Enjoy…
