Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with New York & Oregon-based Jazz Performer, Composer and Educator Rob Scheps .. We caught up to talk about a variety of topics .. Namely his latest 2021 CD with the TBA Band called Live at the Churchill School on Powder Rhythm Records .. It was in the summer of 2020 that he felt was an opportune moment to record some music that had been gestating over the long spring. Over his long, storied career he has recorded 35 albums and it all began in Long Island, New York when he began studying the tenor saxophone at age nine. He would move on to the prestigious New England Conservatory of Music and so many adventures in his career .. He holds Kansas City in a very high regard .. He talks about this and so much more ..
