Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Harmonica Virtuoso, Classical Guitarist, Singer, Songwriter, Arranger & Composer Enrico Granafei .. We caught up with this Italian-born, New Jersey-based former club owner about this new 2024 CD It’s Hard to Say Good-bye .. We get into his life as a musician, former business owner and well beyond .. He has a long history of musical experience which encompasses both Classical Music and Jazz. Following in the tradition of the legendary Toots Thielemans, he began to explore new possibilities for the harmonica, an instrument too often associated solely with Rock and Blues. His love for Jazz led him to New York City, the world capital of Jazz. This is where he soon started to perform in local jazz clubs, including The Blue Note, Birdland, Visiones, Angry Squire, and the Bottom Line. It’s a robust story .. Enjoy.
