He was born in Montreal and first learned the piano at home played by his mother and then devoted himself to the guitar for five years. His transition to jazz was done by the Return to Forever ensemble – from there, he formed his first group and never looked back ..

Jazz Singer, Violinist & Author Nora Germain

And how she spent a lot of time growing up in Madison, Wisconsin – She was introduced to music by her violinist parents and cellist grandmother and went on to become the first ever violinist to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Jazz Studies from the renowned USC Thornton School of Music – She was mentored by Marshall Hawkins, former bassist for Miles Davis and has been around quite a bit at a young age with her sound and wisdom ..
