He is the leader of the jazz force known as the Jacob Fred Jazz Oddyssey .. right outta Tulsa, Oklahoma .. These days, he is in a super group known as Nolatet and they are gearing up for a Febraury 2016 album release and a subsequent tour around the United States .. Trumpeter, Cornetist & Composer Kirk Knuffke

Jazz Saxophonist Miguel Zenon

He began his journey in San Juan, Puerto Rico .. and then moved on to America to attend the Berklee College of Music in Boston .. Since then, he’s gigged with the best like The SFJAZZ Collective, Charlie Haden, Fred Hersh, Kenny Werner, David Sánchez, Danilo Perez, The Village Vanguard Orchestra, The Mingus Big Band, Bobby Hutcherson and Steve Coleman ..  Miguel talked about a lot of things and he made it very clear that he is a work in progress .. and he’s heading in the right directions ..

Hard Bop/Soul Jazz Piano Legend Harold Mabern

Over the course of our conversation, this brilliant jazz legend discussed his roots in a town celebrated for bringing the world quality musicians .. Memphis, Tennessee .. He talked about moving on to Chicago the New York City and all the cats that influenced him and those he played with along the way .. No one held a greater influence than the great Phineas Newborn Jr. .. He discussed playing with Miles Davis, Wes Montgomery and most of the jazz luminaries that were a part of the 50s and 60s New York City .. For the past 35 years he has been a jazz educator and continues to make that memorable jazz .. He’s a testament to longevity, consistency and being one of the nicest cats on the planet ..

NYC Jazz Vocalist & Songwriter Lisa Gary

She was raised in Long Island and performs in New York City these days .. she is New York through and through ..
