Jazz Trombonist Jerry Zigmont

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with a jazz trombonist specializing in the New Orleans blend – Jerry Zigmont .. Over the course of our conversation, we discussed his childhood in Connecticut and his start with music at the age of 12 – From there, he would begin playing in clubs and with luminaries .. like celebrated British clarinetist, Sammy Rimington and New Orleans jazz cats Doc Cheatham, Percy Humphrey and Arvel Shaw  - For the last 20 years, he has played in the Woody Allen New Orleans Jazz Band at the Carlyle in NYC and that has opened to door to him playing in spots all over the world
