Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Kansas City jazz veteran and talented bassist & composer Steve Rigazzi .. We spent some quality time going over the story of his life that has been well lived and quite interesting .. He originally was playing the tuba in the United States Air Force Band, then moved on into the bass .. and that was the instrunment that stuck .. He retold tales growing up in Oklahoma and how that connection has proven big dividends in his life .. He has been all over the globe playing jazz and has some great insights into playing in Italy for 6 years and for some time with Chet Baker .. He’s big part of the thriving KC jazz scene, a very cool cat and one with a great story to tell ..
