Originally from High Point, North Carolina, he studied jazz at the New England Conservatory and in 2016 he released his new album Beauty N Numbers - Over years, he’s gigged with Roy Haynes, Herbie Hancock, Jimmy Smith (the organist), Wynton arsalis Lee Konitz and Phil Woods – He is an Assistant Professor at the Berklee College of Music and a visiting Assistant Professor at Harvard University .. He was also the eading actor in director Damien Chazelle’s 1st film Guy and Madeline on a Park Bench – this is the man that made the jazz rich films Whiplash and La La Land .. he’s got stories ..
