Roy Nathanson & Bill Ware of the Jazz Group The Jazz Passengers

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Roy Nathanson and Bill Ware of the NYC group The Jazz Passengers .. I caught up with them about their new 2017 CD Still Life with Trouble and spoke abourt much more .. It’s a group billed as fantastical fusion of post-bop and musical comedy, once called a “perverse mainstream … hard-bop group as imagined by Frank Zappa – They toured extensively since the 1990s, traversing the United States, Canada, Europe and Asia and having played at major festivals and in clubs and concerts across the globe and have the Grammy Nominations to back up their bravado ..
