Jazz Saxophonist Arhtur White

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Saxophonist Arthur White .. This solo artist, composer, and bandleader will be released on the Artists Recording Collective label in 2017 .. Originally from Kansas, he got his Bachelor of Arts in Music from Emporia State University, the Master of Music in Jazz Pedagogy from West Virginia University, and the Doctor of Musical Arts in Saxophone Performance from the University of North Carolina .. He keeps his home, and roots firmly planted, in the Midwest; resides in Columbia, MO and over the years he’s performed with the best around .. like Randy Brecker, Bobby Watson, Russell Malone, Mike Metheny, and Jimmy Greene .. For seven years, he was the director of jazz studies at the University of Missouri. .. He’s always at it getting jazz out there to both the fans and students ..
