Jazz Trombonist & Composer Delfeayo Marsalis on "Kalamazoo"

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Trombonist, Composer and Record Producer Delfeayo Marsalis .. He talked to us about his latest offering .. a new live album released in 2017 called Kalamazoo captured in April of 2015, in the midst of a mini-tour supporting The Last Southern Gentleman at the Dalton Center Recital Hall at Western Michigan University .. He also talked about a Kansas City gig on Friday May 6, 2016 at the Blue Room when he was presented with a custom trombone .. He also talked about a wide range of topics like how Jazz is in 2017, what responsibility do we have to keep the jazz torch alive, isIs jazz set for a revival and what he learned from masters over the years, along with so much more ..
