Jazz Guitarist & Composer Jonathan Kreisberg

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Guitarist & Composer Jonathan Kreisberg .. He spoke about his latest 2019 CD Capturing Spirits .. Combining melodicism with forward–thinking textures .. He was born in New York City and started playing guitar at the age of ten after moving to Miami with his family. He won a scholarship to the University of Miami and learned from Joe Henderson, Michael Brecker, and Red Rodney. In his 20's, he returned to NYC with his focus on cutting edge acoustic jazz .. Since that time, he has 8 plus albums and has gigged with the likes of Dr. Lonnie Smith, Lee Konitz, Joe Locke, Donald Edwards and many others ..
