We talked to him in mid-January 2021 about his latest 2021 CD with the Big Band Machine – Mazel Tov Kicktail - A Celebration of 40 Years. This sixth full length album from The Ira B. Liss Big Band Jazz Machine and is full of action ..Ever since the early 1970's, Ira was destined in life to be a band leader when he because a drum major/saxophonist at Patrick Henry High School in San Diego-  he was voted most valuable band member his senior year. At 6 feet 7 inches tall, he opted for music instead of basketball and has never looked back ..Dig his story ..
