He is an Army veteran, distinguished trial lawyer, and the CEO of Berry Law, a firm dedicated to veteran advocacy, recovering over $350 million in backpay awards through its veterans disability practice and achieving multiple accolades for its commitment to hire, retain, promote, and support veterans. After receiving his commission as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army, he completed Airborne School and Ranger School. He served as a platoon leader in Bosnia for Operation Joint Forge and a company commander in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. John finished his 20-year military career as a battalion commander in the National Guard and retired as a lieutenant colonel. He continues his mission to empower veterans through his podcast, Veteran Led, which inspires veterans to apply the lessons learned in the military to grow as civilian business and community leaders.
