Veteran Kansas City Jazz Musician, Trumpeter & Flugelhornist Pete Carroll

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Veteran Kansas City Jazz Musician, Trumpeter & Flugelhornist Pete Carroll .. We caught up with him to talk about his very storied career in jazz .. From work on his latest 2020 collaboration with the Freedom Affair on the CD Freedom is Love to being the lead trumpeter for the reverend Al Green .. After a few seasons touring, he relocated to Kansas City and began performing in local jazz and blues venues while on break from tours .. These days he is recognized as one of Kansas City's most versatile trumpeters and performs with several local and national artists.  Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, many musicians have suffered financial loss from show cancellations and he opens up about this strange time .. and hope for the future ..
