He made his orchestral debut at age 19 with the Young Musicians Foundation Orchestra in Los Angeles, later training at The Juilliard School, Yale University, and Indiana University under the legendary John Ogdon.

His performances have earned international acclaim on world-class stages including the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Hall, along with a rich catalog of recordings that highlight both standard repertoire and overlooked voices in American music. Today, Clipper is a passionate educator at the Westminster Conservatory and shares his expertise through master classes around the globe.
