Over the course of our conversation, we discussed his latest 2013 album "Ira Sullivan Presents the Jim Holman Trio, Special Guest Roger Humphries, his roots in Chicago, the inspiration from his father who played jazz, his pursuit of his doctorate at DePaul these days, along with playing with big shots like Antonio Hart, Jimmy Owens, Cecil Bridgewater, Donald Harrison, Richie Cole and many others – He opened up about his jazz journey in all it’s perameters  ..
