Jazz Drummer, Composer & Teacher Allison Miller

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Drummer, Composer & Teacher Allison Miller  .. She
grew up in the Washington DC area and her dad had a professional studio in their house where she grew up listening to pros recording amazing jazz music .. and she started out on the drums at 10 and loves them .. cannot live without them .. She is currently promoting her 2016 release Otis was a Polar Bear – and that will include a swing through Kansas City on June 30, 2016 at the Blue Room on 18 and Vine .. Along with the music, she is a teacher at The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in NYC .. She learned from the best – Dr. Michael Carvin when she arrived in New York in 1996 and talks about the lessons she got from him .. along with many more tales ..
