Veteran Jazz Trumpeter & Educator John Daversa

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Trumpeter, composer, arranger, producer, bandleader & educator John Daversa .. These days, he is busy teaching at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami and promoting his new 2016 album Kalidescope Eyes that features John covering Beatles Tunes – He was Born in LA, raised in Oklahoma and in Miami these days – He is very well educated and has been on some big stages in his life .. like the The Today Show, Late Nite with David Letterman, Hamburg Music Festival, the Monterey Jazz Festival, and many others .. He been all over the jazz world and crossing genres playing music .. with the likes of Fiona Apple, Michael BublĂ©, Sheryl Crow, Bob Mintzer Big Band and on .. He has great stories, wisdom and tales to tell ..
