Photographer, Music Producer, Engineer and Composer Terry Manning

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Cat, Photographer, Music Producer, Engineer and Composer Terry Manning  ..  This very talented renaissance man is releasing his new 2016 album Planets with his trio 3@Sea featuring his DJ/producer son, Lucas Manning, and flutist and orchestral player, Christine Gangelhoff. It’s a sonic landscape flush with jazz, classical elements and much more .. He was raised in El Paso, TX and learned quite a bit in his early years from the great musician Bobby Fuller who sang the song  "I Fought The Law" – He’s snapped many photos of music luminaries like Booker T. Jones, Isaac Hayes, ZZ Top, Lenny Kravitz and many more .. but is was in Memphis on April 3, 1968 that he captured the last images of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Terry is also prolific as a music producer and engineer .. He’s got a fascinating story ..
