Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Bassist, Composer & Educator Alexis Cuadrado ..  He grew up in Barcelona, Spain and his latest 2016 album Poetica is a testament to him being in America and having roots in Spain .. trying to come to grips with his culture and identity .. He’s a very well educated man – learning at fine institutions like the Aaron Copland School Of Music-Queens College (NY) .. and he is also a teacher at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music in NYC – He talked openly about his jazz heroes, why he loves jazz and who he thinks he is .. along with much more ..
