Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with New York Based Jazz Singer, Songwriter and Arranger Svetlana of the Delancey Five .. They just released a new 2016 CD called Night at the Speakeasy featuring Wycliffe Gordon .. She was born and raised in Moscow, Russia and the albums of Ella Fitzgerald lured her into the jazz universe very early on .. She would go on to get her MA from the Manhattan School of Music learning from the likes of Gretchen Parlato and continuing to go on and get her doctorate .. She plays at all the finest joints in New York and loves giving fans that 1920s-40s jazz the group the Delancey Five .. She has a lot of plans and loves doing her thing ..
