Legendary Jazz Drummer, Pianist, Vibraphonist & Composer Joe Chambers

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with J Jazz Drummer, Pianist,  Vibraphonist & Composer Joe Chambers  .. He was born and bred in Philadelphia and he talked at length about a great many things .. His newest album – full of sound and beautiful vibes is called Landscapes and prior to that he released Moving Pictures Orchestra – Live at Dizzy’s Coca Cola – He spent a year at the Philadelphia Conservatory and would go on to captivate the world after moving to NYC in 1963 – He would play on Freddie Hubbard’s LP Breaking Point – give with the best in avante garde jazz .. with cats like Eric Dolphy – then  gig with the likes of  Charles Mingus, Wayne Shorter, Bobby Hutcherson, McCoy Tyner and Chick Corea .. His mentor is Max Roach and he has been a part of Roach's M'Boom percussion ensemble – He’s full of good stories, wisdom an cool ..
