Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Pianist Emmet Cohen .. He just released 2017s Masters Legacy with Jimmy Cobb and has great stories about working with the drum master .. He started on the keys at 3 and would go on to become the alumnus of the YoungArts Foundation, he now produces and directs multidisciplinary high school YoungArts programs nationally that employ creative writing, theater, dance, visual arts, cinematography, music, voice, and jazz. He also has a Masters Degree from the Manhattan School of Music and amonst many things these days .. he is the leader of the "Emmet Cohen Trio" - so, get to know this deeply inquisitive cat and dig this interview my friends ..
