Logan Richardson was born in Kansas City, MO and is an alto saxophonist, composer, and bandleader. Richardson debuted as a bandleader with his 2007 album Cerebral Flow. He is also a member of the band NEXT Collective.

Jazz violinist Regina Carter was born in Detroit, Michigan to Dan Carter, an auto worker, and Grace Williamson Carter, an elementary school teacher. She began taking music lessons at the age of two, first for the piano and later for the violin.

Jazz Saxophonist Tim Warfield

Jazz Pianist Emmet Cohen

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Pianist Emmet Cohen  .. He just released 2017s Masters Legacy with Jimmy Cobb and has great stories about working with the drum master .. He started on the keys at 3 and would go on to become the alumnus of the YoungArts Foundation, he now produces and directs multidisciplinary high school YoungArts programs nationally that employ creative writing, theater, dance, visual arts, cinematography, music, voice, and jazz.  He also has a Masters Degree from the Manhattan School of Music and amonst many things these days .. he is the leader of the "Emmet Cohen Trio" - so, get to know this deeply inquisitive cat and dig this interview my friends ..
