He has spent the last 30 years challenging himself to understand how our nation still struggles with systemic issues around race and racism six decades after the Civil Rights Act passed in 1964. His book, It's Never Been a Level Playing Field, is based on his experiences growing up in an all white community and working in primarily white spaces while also having been married for 19 years (now divorced) to an African American woman, raising two bi-racial children, and living in a majority Black county. His constant learning, questioning, and researching led him to spend 2020-2024 writing and rewriting this book. It’s quite a story.

Choking on Shame: The Scapegoat Child in a Narcissistic Family is the long-awaited prequel to Gasping for Air: The Stranglehold of Narcissistic Abuse. With the release of the second book in my narcissistic abuse trilogy, she gets into the abuse she experienced as a child of two narcissistic parents who hadn't wanted her. It serves as the answer to readers' questions about how one becomes susceptible to abusive adult relationships. Although not always the case, many of us unconsciously perpetuate generational trauma. Strangely, she always inherently knew that the abuse she experienced in my childhood was wrong. We continue the story.
