NYC Singer/Songwriter John Brodeur of Bird Streets

Welcome to a special edition of the Famous Interviews with Joe Dimino interview series with New York Musician & Songwriter John Brodeur .. Along with being a solo artist – John’s been in in the bands The Suggestions and Maggie Mayday .. It has been about five years since his last record – So, a few years ago, he ran off to Los Angeles for a bit of a creative retreat and it was then that he started writing and recording with his good friend Jason Falkner – A brilliant musician known for much .. like his time with Jellyfish, Beck and his own solo work .. So, Bird Streets is the musical endeavor of these two and for John .. this project is a creative rebirth after years on the music-industry margins – the album is set to be released worldwide Aug 10, 2018, by Omnivore Recordings.

We spoke about the upcoming 2018 CD with Ben Monder – A World of Dew .. releases July 20, 2018 - This World of Dew is the third release of Aaron Shragge’s duo with Ben Monder. The inspiration for these new pieces came partly from Shagge’s immersion in the poetry of Charles Bukowski in which he read all of the poet’s work over the span of a year as well as from translations found “The Poetry of Zen”..

Jazz Singer Isabel Crespo of the Band For Now - The Black Dolphin Show in KC - 7.13.18

She is praised for her ability to utilize her voice with expressiveness, as well as with the agility and precision of an instrumentalist. She opened up about her life in music and much more.

He has appeared on seven platinum albums, fifteen world tours, which include two live video performances and been on the Tonight Show to David Letterman, Jay Leno, as well as the Grammy’s – He learnd and jammed with the likes of Ron Carter, Roberta Flack, Luther Van Dross, Diana Krall, Stanley Turrentine and Bette Midler .. He’s got great stories and tales to tell ..

Veteran Los Anglese-based Jazz Pianist & Composer George Kahn

Jazz Musician & Professor of Music and Director of Instrumental Studies at Kansas City Kansas Community College Jim Mair

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with saxophonist, flautist, percussionist, singer, and teacher Jim Mair  ..  Born and raised in Canada, these days he is a Professor of Music and Director of Instrumental Music and Jazz Studies at Kansas City Kansas Community College, along with so much more .. He graduated from the University of Mary (Bismarck, North Dakota) with bachelor’s degree in music and the University of Missouri at Kansas City Conservatory of Music with a Masters degree .. Along with performing, recording an teaching .. While he was in Idaho from 1995 to 1999 – he had a radio show called "Table Down Front" broadcast across the northwest on NPR affiliates – He is always busy and has been key in the KC jazz scene .. He was the lead in the formation and implementation of the Kansas City Jazz Orchestra – the  KC Jazz Alliance which produces the 17th annual Kansas City Jazz Camp and the popular Jazz by the Lake concert series "First Thursdays from noon to 1pm during the school year at KCKCC -
