Trumpeter Jeremy Pelt of the Jazz Group The Black Art Jazz Collective

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Trumpeter Jeremy Pelt of the Black Art Jazz Collective .. He talked about hteir latest 2018 CD –Armor of Pride – and their beginnings in 2013 at Jazz at Lincoln Center full of contemporary jazz's leading voices together to collaborate musically and promote the recognition of African- American cultural and political figures. The band is also made up of  Wayne Escoffery (tenor sax) James Burton III (trombone), Xavier Davis (piano),Vicente Archer (bass), and Jonathan Blake( drums) – he discusses quite a bit with Neon Jazz.
