He spoke about his time with the Jazz Messengers and all the sage advice Art Blakey bestowed upon him, the many gigs and musicians he has played with over the years, his newest album Cash Checking Day in honor of Dr. King’s 50^th Anniversary of his I have a Dream Speech, along with his thoughts on the renaissance culture of jazz going down in KC during 2014 ..
