Veteran Kansas City Jazz Bassist Bob Bowman

Welcome to a special edition of the Neon Jazz interview series  - During this interview, we had the honor of speaking with journeyman jazz bassist & Kansas City’s very own Bob Bowman. Born and raised in Kansas, he made his way from New York City to Los Angeles playing with the best in jazz. He came back to Kansas City in 1988 and has been here every since and remains a vital part of a very healthy KC jazz scene. During our interview, we covered a large list of questions, including a new album he just release called Songs For Sandra in honor of his late wife .. He’s very open about all things jazz and how he views his career from yesterday, today and into tomorrow ..
