Jazz Big Band Leader Mica Bethea

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Big Band Leader Mica Bethea – He was born and raised In Jacksonville, Florida and these days is is on the heels of his 2017 CD Masters .. Following a car accident some years back, he hasn’t been able to play intruments, but that hasn’t dimished his brilliants in composing and arranging for his big band .. He got graduate and undergraduate degrees in music from the University of North Florida and in 2012 recieved the undergraduate arranger award by Downbeat Magazine. He has plenty of wisdom and stories ..
