He was on the road from a gig in St. Louis en route to Kansas City for a weekend of gigs promoting their latest debut 2017 album Kansas City Stride .. He talked about how they have been enamoured with Count Basie to get their sound, how they developed it in LA, why the KC jazz sound is so important and so much more ..
