A Neon Jazz Interview with Veteran Jazz Drummer Chip White

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Drummer Alan Chip White..  Born in New York City - He began studying percussion and music with his father at the age of nine and moved on to the Berklee School of Music in Boston, MA studying with Alan Dawson, Charlie Marino, and Herb Pomeroy. He talked with Neon Jazz about his latest CD in a series – 2018’s All Star Ensemble, Vol. V: New Dedications and Latin Moods – So, he would move back to New York City in 1970 and play with the best around .. Like Carman McCrae, John Abercrombie, Frank Wess, Chet Bake, Junior Cook – and touring extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, and Japan playing on  television shows like “What’s My Line?,” “The Mike Douglas Show,” “The Dinah Shore Show,” “Saturday Night Live,” and more ..
