Over his rich life, he has created opportunities for success in music (bluegrass, gospel, country, and Americana), television, film, books, and serving others through non-profits and local elected office. He launched his rise from meager Appalachian beginnings to appearing weekly on NBC and CBS television as “Officer Randy Goode” on TV’s “In the Heat of the Night” and becoming a regular guest star on the Grand Ole Opry and the Nashville Network. In 2022, he is directing and starring in his short film “The American’s Creed” set during the American Revolution. Whether in music or acting, as a youth, he was mentored by legends such as Bill Monroe, Jim and Jesse, Carroll O’Connor, Larry Hagman and Ken Curtis. Enjoy this Interview ..
