NYC-Based Jazz Saxophonist & Composer Daniel Bennett

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Saxophonist & Composer Daniel Bennet  .. Born in Rochester, New York, his on the heels of releasing 2016’s Sinking Houseboat Confusion .. He began his jazz studies journey at Roberts Wesleyan College .. He has been swayed by the music of Phillip Glass and has been dubbed as making folk jazz  .. mix of jazz, folk, and twentieth century minimalism – and it’s worked .. In 2015, The Daniel Bennett Group was voted "Best New Jazz Group" in the New York City Hot House Jazz Awards and the sky is the limit ..

Ukraine-born Jazz Pianist Vadim Neselovskyi

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Ukraine-born Jazz Pianist Vadim Neselovskyi  – His latest release 2017’s Get Up and Go – He was born and raised in Ukraine – At 15 he went to he Odessa Conservatory – then moved to Germany and finally to the US, where he completed his studies at Berklee College of Music and the Thelonious Monk Institute. Over the years, he has toured internationally with Hancock, Chaka Khan, Dee Dee Bridgewater and Terri Lyne Carrington – and many others .. He loves jazz and talks glowingly about it ..

Legendary Colorado Blues Performer Chris Daniels

Right outta St. Paul, Minnesota he began playing guitar when he was 10 and these days he’s promoting yet another new album .. 2017’s Blues With Horns .. So, in 1984, Daniels formed Chris Daniels & The R&B Kings - originally planned as a "Boulder one-nighter," the band has released 14 albums and toured extensively in the United States and completed 21 European tours. They have performed for three US presidents and the former queen of the Netherlands – He is a legend and a survivor .. He has beat acute leukemia in February and is a member of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame ..

San Francisco Jazz Pianist Clifford Lamb

He just released 2017’s Brothers and Sisters – He is originally from New York and discovered jazz at age 16 – His first jazz piano teacher was Wes Montgomery’s pianist, Richard Crabtree – and he would go on to graduate from the Berklee College of Music in Boston and hooked up with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra – From there, he has woven an interesting jazz journey ..
