Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Journeyman Saxophonist & Educator George Garzone .. While on a gig in Copenhagen, Denmark, he spoke with Neon Jazz about a long road he has etched in the jazz world .. the son of Italian immigrants in Boston, he grew up in a music rich household that started him well on his way .. Over the years, he has gigged with the best in the business .. With cats like Joe Lovano, Randy Brecker, Kenny Barron and so many more .. As an educator, he has taught the best – cats like Branford Marsalis and Joshua Redman .. He’s a man full of wit, stories, wisdom and a helluva good jazz bio ..
