Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Baritone E.J. Decker .. He spoke with Neon Jazz off Broadway in NYC about his 2018 CD Bluer Than Velvet: The Prysock Project – He delved into his childhood – his mother was a pianist and his dad a Big Band-era baritone who worked with many N.Y.-area bands of the day – Over the years, E. J. has gone from jazz through pop and standards, rock and folk to '50s R&B and blues – He is one of today's strongest male interpreters of ballads and baritone voice .. He’s been all over and has very cool tales to tell ..
