Berlin-based Jazz Drummer & Composer Christian Lillinger

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Berlin-based Jazz Drummer Christian Lillinger .. He started playing drums at the age of 13 and was studiedin Dresden from 2000 to 2004. And in 2000 he won the International Improvisation Contest .. Since then, he’s been very busy .. with projects on the horizon in 2019 .. Over his long, satisfying career, he performed in concerts and at festivals in Europe, Asia and USA. He played with David Liebmann, Leo Smith, Wiliam Parker, Evan Parker, Joe Lovano Tony Malaby and so many more .. he’s got a great story .. and talks about it ..
