Toronto Jazz Guitarist Ted Quinlan

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Toronto Jazz Guitarist Ted Quinlan .. He talked to us about his new 2019 CD Absolutely Dreaming – from this veteran of the Canadian jazz scene, combining his deep roots in the tradition with an adventurous spirit and an eclectic point of view. These days he is seeing as one of Canada’s top guitar players and his skills are highly in demand as a jazz player, session musician, writer and educator. Over the years, he’s played with the likes of Chet Baker, Freddie Hubbard, Jimmy Smith, Joey DeFrancesco, Michael Brecker, Dave Holland, Maria Schneider and Dave Liebman. His debut CD " As If" received a Juno nomination and he’s been off and running every since .. So get to know him and dig this interview my friends ..
