Veteran Jazz Drummer Phil Haynes

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Drummer Phil Haynes .. We talked to him in late April 2020 as the COVID-19 world was taking hold to talk about his latest 2020 CD Day Dream .. as he reunites with bass great Drew Gress, and pianist Steve Rudolph for a session epitomizing the modern jazz piano trio .. Over the years, he has been featured on more than 65 releases on numerous American and European record labels.  His recording credentials include many of the seminal musicians of this generation: saxophonists Anthony Braxton, Ellery Eskelin, and David Liebman; trumpeters Dave Douglas, and so many others ..
