Chicago-born, Berlin Based Jazz Musician Ed Partyka

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Chicago-born, Berlin Based Jazz Musician Ed Partyka .. We caught up with him on May 5, 2020 during the initial stages of the COVID-19 lockdown to talk about this strange new world of no live music. Originally from Chicago, he received a BA degree from Northern Illinois University before moving to Germany in 1990. Over the years, he has toured and recorded with the Bob Brookmeyer New Art Orchestra, Vienna Art Orchestra, Carla Bley, WDR Big Band, NDR Big Band and many others ..
