NYC Jazz Drummer, Composer & Educator Reggie Quinerly

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with NYC Jazz Drummer, Composer & Educator Reggie Quinerly .. We caught up with him to talk about this latest and very impressive 2021 CD New York Nowhere…His approach is a blending of traditional classic 60’s sound, with the vibrant eclecticism of most progressive music of the 2000’s. He grew up in a rich musical environment and attended Houston's High School of the Performing and Visual Arts.. From there, he went on to the East Coast and never looked back .. he studied with the likes of Jimmy Cobb, Lewis Nash, and Kenny Washington.  His stories and insights are rich ones .. Enjoy ..
