Legendary New York City Drummer & Composer Chris Parker

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Legendary New York City Drummer & Composer Chris Parker .. He opened up about his new 2022 CD Tell Me .. This long road that Parker has travelled on for the past fifty years seems infinite, forever winding its way through one creative tour-de-force after another .. He was born in Chicago and playing drums at age three. He began performing his first professional gigs at eleven and at nineteen, he began recording and touring with blues great Paul Butterfield and then broke into the New York studio scene in 1970 doing records, movie scores and filling the drum chair at Saturday Night Live.
