Chicago Jazz Cornetist, Improviser & Composer Josh Berman

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Chicago cornetist, improviser & composer Josh Berman  .. Over the course of our interview, we dug into his history .. which is part accidental and more about finding his artistic aim in his life .. He just released a new album called A Dance and A Hop – and is contemplating new material .. he’s the cofounder of the acclaimed Umbrella Music – along with being the co-curator of the Emerging Improvisors Organization – He stays busy working with cat like Bill Dixon, Joe McPhee and  Ken Vandermark – He had some cool insights, tasty stories and a bit of surprise minced in ..
