NYC Jazz Vibraphonist Behn Gillece

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with NYC Vibraphonist Behn Gillece  .. Over the course of our interview, he discussed how the playing of Milt Jackson and Bobby Hutcherson were a huge influence on his playing .. Originally from New Jersey, he picked up the vibes as a teenager and went with it .. From there, he got his roots sewn in Philadelphia and moved on to New York  City .. Since 2006, he’s been huge on the scene and very active with plenty of jazz cats and at clubs like Smalls .. He discussed his latest 2015 album called Mindset, along with his jazz journey up to this point in his life .. along with what might just be next ..
