Kansas City Jazz Pianist, Composer, Vocalist & Teacher Leslie Maclean

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Kansas City Jazz Pianist, Composer, Vocalist & Teacher Leslie Maclean .. She talked about her latest CD – That’s Time Enough … And she has been at it for some time .. She’s been a professional musician since the age of 13. And in colleged, she worked extensively with free jazz proponent Muhul Richard Abrams. She would go on to earn a Master of Music in piano performance at the Chicago Musical College of Roosevelt University and opened for jazz legend Stan Kenton, and has appeared at many top Chicago jazz clubs and on television and radio. She has a long and interesting journey ..
