Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with New York-based New York-based Jazz Trumpeter, Arranger, Composer, Educator, Producer & Bandleader Ben Bierman  .. He opened up about his 2019 CD Some Takes on the Blues - This New York City journeyman has a very wide range of musical experiences and an eclectic aesthetic sensibility to match. As a trumpet player he has performed and recorded with such diverse artists as B.B. King, Robert Cray, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Archie Shepp, and many others .. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Art and Music at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, City University of New York .. He’s got great stories ..
