Jazz Trumpeter Ahmed Abdullah

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Veteran Jazz Trumpeter Ahmed Abdullah .. This long time Sun Ra Trumpeter talked about his new project "A Music of the Spirit / Out of Sistas' Place" from the Diaspora & Afro Horn ensemble! He also opened up about a rich life in music .. He began performing at age 13 in his native New York City and joined the Sun Ra Arkestra in the mid-1970’s working there on and off until 1993 .. So please get to know him and dig this interview.
