Montreal-based Jazz Drummer, Composer & Arranger Jacek Kochan

Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Jazz Drummer, Composer and Arranger Jacek Kochan .. His new 2020 album Occupational Hazard is his 22nd release as a leader, it’s also his most stylistically daring project of his career .. It was released on March 13, 2020, right around the time that America and the world was going into a full quarantine because of the Coronavirus. We talk about that .. He always combines elements of acoustic and electric jazz, rock, and contemporary improvised music in to his mix ..He’s had a long, esteemed jazz road and he opens up about it ..
