Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with London-based Jazz Pianist & Composer Rick Simpson .. We talked about this new COVID-19 world and his latest & upcoming 2020 CD Kid A to Jazz .. A project created to mark the 20th anniversary of Radiohead’s wonderful original - This was originally part of a series of sell-out shows curated by Simpson at London’s Vortex club featuring non-jazz records rearranged with an improvisational focus. The original show was such a success, drawing in listeners from beyond the club’s regular audience – so he re-assembled the band in the studio and recorded the entire album in a single afternoon session .. We talked about his life in music, the construction of this album and so much more .. Enjoy….
