Welcome to a new edition of the Neon Jazz interview series with Boston-based Jazz Saxophonist & Educator Tony Malaby .. We had a long, open talk about this COVID world and his creation that has been an outgrowth of this lockdown/pandemic time .. the new 2021 CD – Tony Malaby’s Sabino - The Cave of Winds .. On this project, instead of heading indoors, he went outside .. Beginning in July of 2020, he began hosting regular sessions underneath a turnpike overpass near his home in New Jersey.. He talks about this, his past, modern life and the future ..   .. Enjoy the story ..
